Assassin’s Creed II is a sequel to the first edition and begins with the protagonist, Desmond Miles, using Animus 2.0 to get trained by reliving the genetic memories of an assassin named Ezio who lived in Venice during the Renaissance.

A quest for personal revenge leads to secrets going back to the times of Adam and Eve with the assassin receiving guidance from Machiavelli and some really cool weapons and gadgets from Da Vinci.

The open-world non-linear gameplay gives you the freedom to roam around 15th century Italy. Apart from roaming around the streets in stolen carriages or zipping through the waterways of Venice in gondolas, you can also swim in water or even use Da Vinci’s flying machine to become the first person in the world to fly.

The game’s combat system has been upgraded with complex maneuvers and counter-attacks at your disposal. You also have the option of improvising with broken brooms or spears to defend yourself from attacks. The game combines action with adventure by letting you use income from Ezio’s estate to buy better weapons, poisons, armour and even paintings.

With around 200 missions, of which 100 are side quests, you will have a great time hanging out with Da Vinci and ridding the world of evil people who deserve to be assassinated.
